Jointly sponsored with Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine
& Microbiology Educational Services

July 19-21, 2004 -- Annapolis, MD USA

The Anaerobe Society of the Americas (ASA) hosts its 7th biennial Congress--ANAEROBE 2004--July 19-21, 2004 in historic Annapolis, Maryland, USA. ANAEROBE 2004 will prompt vigorous enthusiasm in both clinical and microbiological aspects of anaerobic infections, their diagnosis, and their therapy among medical practitioners and researchers by mixing theory and practical applications. The Congress will consist of invited speakers, oral presentations, and poster presentations.

Target Audience

Researchers, clinicians, and technicians from around the world are invited to attend and participate in this Congress to engage in presentations, exchanges, and dialogue on issues related to the study of anaerobes. We particularly hope to attract bench hospital microbiologists, offering a Pre-Congress workshop on Anaerobic Bacteriology for the Clinical Laboratory.

Pre-Congress Workshops -- Sunday, July 18, 2004

Two half-day Pre-Congress Workshops will be offered on Sunday, July 18, targeted to bench hospital and research microbiologists. The morning session will address Anaerobic Identification and Susceptibility, and the afternoon session will focus on Molecular Techniques. More detailed descriptions will soon be available. Students can register for sessions individually or together. The Anaerobic Bacteriology Manual (6th edition) is also available at a discount.

Join your international colleagues for this opportunity for academic and social discourse.
